Editorial Policy

How we work

EDITORIAL POLICY.

Independent perspectives. Clear explanations. This page explains how Fieldside chooses, checks and corrects its work.

INDEPENDENCE.

Fieldside is independent. We are not owned by a team, league, betting company or sponsor, and no outside party directs what we publish. If a commercial relationship ever affects a guide, we will say so in that guide.

ACCURACY.

We check rules, records and statistics against primary sources where possible — official rulebooks, league records and reputable data sources — and we explain what a number measures. Where sources disagree, we say so rather than picking the tidier version.

PLAIN LANGUAGE.

Guides start with the basics and define terms where readers meet them. Jargon is only used when it helps, and then it is explained.

BYLINES.

Articles are bylined “Fieldside editorial team.” Guides are written and reviewed as a team, and we do not publish individual credentials we cannot verify.

CORRECTIONS.

When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and note the change where it matters. Send corrections through the contact form.

WHAT WE DO NOT DO.

We do not publish betting tips, paid endorsements presented as editorial, or unverified rumors as fact. Opinion is labeled as opinion, and speculation is labeled as speculation.
