About Fieldside
FOR FANS WHO ASK WHY.
Fieldside is an independent sports publication. We explain rules, records and tactics in plain language, and we tell the stories behind them — without hype, and without assuming you already know the jargon.
WHAT WE DO.
Explain first
Every guide starts with the basics, then builds. If a term matters, we define it where you meet it.
Show the workings
Numbers come with context: what they measure, what they leave out, and why they matter.
Stay independent
We are not a team site, a betting site or a fan channel. Our loyalty is to the reader and the facts.
Our editorial team
THE FIELDSIDE EDITORIAL TEAM.
Fieldside articles are written and edited by the Fieldside editorial team. Bylines on this site read “Fieldside editorial team” by design: guides are reviewed as a team before publication, and corrections are made openly. We do not publish individual author biographies or credentials that we cannot verify, and we do not invent them.
